No experience required. This class is designed for absolute beginners and newer dancers who want a strong, confident foundation in Salsa. If you’ve never danced Salsa before, or if you’ve taken less than 2–3 months of lessons, this is the perfect place to start.

Over the course of four weeks, we’ll break things down step by step in a supportive, welcoming environment. Each week builds on the previous one, so students can really absorb the material and feel steady progress rather than feeling rushed.

What you’ll learn:

  • Salsa timing and rhythm

  • Basic footwork patterns and body movement

  • Fundamental partner connection and lead/follow technique

  • Core patterns and transitions you’ll use on the social dance floor

  • Musicality basics so you can dance with the music, not just memorize steps

This class is ideal if you want to:

  • Start Salsa from the ground up

  • Feel comfortable and confident dancing with different partners

  • Prepare yourself for higher-level classes and social dancing

What to bring

A reusable water bottle. Clean hard-soled shoes.

Salsa Level 2 – Progressive 4-Week Series

Wednesdays 8:15-9:10pm /  Jan 7 - Feb 4  (no class Jan 14)

4-week series for $65, or $22 drop-ins

Please email us to be notified of our next Intro to Salsa series.

For dancers with prior Salsa experience

This class is for dancers who already know the basics and are ready to go deeper. If you’ve completed the Intro series at least once or feel comfortable with fundamental Salsa patterns, timing, and partner connection, this class is for you.

Level 2 moves at a slightly faster pace and focuses on refining technique, improving flow, and expanding your vocabulary on the dance floor. We will build a more dynamic combination over four weeks, allowing time to develop clarity, musicality, and stronger partner communication.

What you’ll focus on:

  • Expanding pattern vocabulary and transitions

  • Learn Intermediate variations of fundamental patterns

  • Cleaner dance movement, techniques and styling

  • Learn advanced lead/follow technique and connection

This class is ideal if you want to:

  • Build longer, more interesting dance sequences

  • Strengthen your social dancing skills

Although drop-ins are available @ $22/ea, this class is designed as a 4-week progressive series, and committing to the full series is highly recommended for the best experience. It's also more affordable (per class) to sign up for the entire series.

What to bring
