We are excited to have you join us for our 2025-2026 performance season!  Applications open August 1, 2025 and close on August 31, 2025. We will announce who is in performance groups on Wednesday, September 3rd.

 

Important: We do not hold formal auditions. In order to be accepted in to a group, you must regularly take classes at the studio during the month of August to be evaluated (Dancers who performed in our show "Lucky 3" are exempt from this requirement.)

 

What are performance groups?

Performance groups are made of studio dancers who wish to be a part of a deeper community, learn entire dances, and perform with their company. Dancers meet with their company chorographer weekly and learn approximately three routines for our annual showcase in June. The exception to this would be ballet groups and which meet every other week and will each learn 2 dances and Steven's beginner tap group which will learn 2 dances and meet each week between November and June.

In addition to performing in our show, our dancers will have a couple more opportunities to perform. We will hold a holiday party at our studio on Thursday, December 18th, and most performance groups an opportunity to perform their first routine at the studio. We also typically perform at the WA State (Spring) Fair in mid-April. We will ask for a Saturday performance slot, but this is not guaranteed. Deanna is also looking in to 1-2 other opportunities to perform within our community this upcoming year.

 

We offer groups in tap dance, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, jazz, and contemporary. The level of dance experience needed to join our groups depends on the year and how much demand we have for each performance group. Please select a maximum of 2 groups this year.

Requirements

Attend 4-5 technique/combo classes each month for each group in which you are participating.

5 class autopay membership held for each group in which you are participating.

2 groups max this year (3 groups allowed if ballet is one of your groups)

Max 7 rehearsal absences between Sept-June.​

Jazz  ---> lyrical, jazz, contemporary

Hip Hop  ---> hip hop or K-pop

Tap Dance  ---> tap dance

Contemporary  ---> lyrical, jazz, contemporary

Disney Performance  ---> lyrical, jazz, contemporary

Dancers in this group will perform in our show AND at Disneyland next summer. This group will be comprised of advanced beginner dancers & intermediate dancers. Dances will incorporate ballet, contemporary, jazz and lyrical.

Pieces may include a mix of genres.
